The English Language Center runs 2 main programs each semester:
- The English for Academic Purposes Program is open to students already admitted to MSU academic programs.

Other programs include:
- Eurocentres at MSU
- Preparing for Academic Life : a 4-week Summer Program
- Special contract programs are for intact groups traveling together for a limited number of weeks. The ELC will create a program combining language improvement, cultural enrichment, and field trips.

The ESL Lab provides assistance to international students in first and second year writing classes at the university.
