David Krisehas lived most of his life in Michigan. After receiving degrees in Education and Theology, David and his wife hitchhiked in Europe for six months where they learned of teaching English in Japan. They eventually spent 3 years in Japan teaching English, and after backpacking in Asia for one year, returned to the USA for David to earn an M.A. in TESOL at MSU. After graduation, David pursued other career options, but in 2002 returned to ESL teaching.  In 2006 he returned to MSU as a fulltime instructor at the ELC. David’s professional interests include teacher training and the use of technology to enhance speaking and listening skills. David enjoys time with his wife and two children, outdoor activities, travel, reading, and involvement in community justice projects through his church.
