TESOL Job Market Session

MA TESOL Students are invited to attend this two-part session on the TESOL Job Market led by Amy Kroesche and Monique Yoder.

The session will begin with a 30-inute informal Q&A panel discussion on looking for teaching and language practitioner jobs after graduation. Following the dicussion, there will be a one-hour workshop on evaluating job advertisements and writing resumes, cover letters, and philosophy of teaching statements.

Having your own application documents on hand to screen share and get feedback is encouraged. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to get advice and feedback on the teaching job market from experienced program administrators who know the ins and outs of the hiring practice.

This event requires pre-registration and the main event will take place on Friday, November 6 from 1:00PM – 2:30PM. As many of you may be using the next six months to apply for teaching or language practitioner positions, SOSLAP has arranged for this timely professional development session to assist you learning where to look for jobs and talking through what to include and how to present information in resume, cover letter, and teaching philosophy application documents.

For more details about the event, see this flyer. First-year MA TESOL students are welcome to attend, too. It’s never too early to get started on these types of things.
