This fellowship is awarded to graduate students in the MATESOL program who are in good standing in their academic studies, who are teaching in the English Language Center at MSU, and, most importantly for the fellowship, who demonstrate a commitment to academic and classroom excellence in English language pedagogy in a cross-cultural context. The ELC has awarded 16 graduate students in MATESOL this fellowship since 2011. The awardees have benefited from this important opportunity, which is generously maintained by the family, friends, and supporters of the Shigeo/Isako Imamura Graduate Endowment.
