In addition to incredible professors and faculty, the English Language Center also has some outstanding student workers. We’d like to introduce some of the friendly faces of our ELC office and allow you to learn more about them and their time at MSU.
Giuliana Cusumano has worked at the ELC for over 2 years, beginning in her sophomore year. A recent graduate, she completed her studies this summer with a B.A. in International Relations and Minor in European Studies at MSU. “Interacting with students of diverse origins and backgrounds at ELC definitely gave me a practical component to my international studies,” she says.
In the summer of 2018, she worked as a Resident Orientation Leader for MSU’s freshman orientation programming. “I’ve had a couple odd jobs around campus and during my time at MSU. For me, a key aspect to enjoying work is creating connections with students and community members.” Before the COVID-19 pandemic response, she worked as an International Marketing intern at the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD). She plans to work in social media and accessible content creation before pursuing a career in environmental law or consulting.
In her free time, Giuliana enjoys making music with friends and reading.
