On Friday, September 20, the ESL 092 Content course visited the MSU Broad Art Museum. Students had prepared for the visit by learning about different types of art (installation, painting, ceramics, etc.) and by researching the featured artists (Zaha Hadid, Samia Halaby, and Esmaa Mohamoud). During their visit, they explored all three floors of the museum in small groups, took photos of and notes about the pieces that interested them most, and wrote a reflection on the meaning and impact of one piece. Everyone greatly enjoyed our time at the museum. We found it a great place to explore, to relax, and to be inspired. The table spaces are also a great place to get some work or studying done! If you haven’t been to the MSUBAM, you should go!
