Each ELC staff member plays a critical role in supporting faculty instruction and students on their language learning journey. We’d like to give you the opportunity to get to learn more about them and their part in creating ELC’s welcoming learning environment.
Ivette Duynslager has worked as the ELC’s admission secretary for over 12 years. In addition to guiding incoming and prospective students towards enrollment, she is a point of contact for current ELC students. “I enjoy serving you every semester and every year and most importantly meeting you and learning about your beautiful cultures,” she says.
Ivette considers herself a citizen of the world and has traveled extensively. Growing up in several Latin American countries, she is a native Spanish speaker. Before working at MSU, Ivette worked at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) as well as the World Bank in Washington, D.C.
Ivette currently resides in Okemos, Michigan with her husband. She is proud to have worked for MSU for over 20 years where “diversity is valued and international students are welcomed.”
“MSU is a friendly, respectful, and diverse environment and I invite you to explore the beautiful campus of MSU and the ELC institution. You are very important to us and we want you to fulfill your dreams and succeed in your academic goals. Welcome to the United States, which is the land of opportunity, freedoms, and dreams! I am looking forward to meeting you soon.”
